Homelessness Knowledge Development

The Homelessness Knowledge Development (HKD) funding stream provides funding to stakeholders, including not-for-profit organizations, researchers and academics, to develop knowledge on homelessness issues. HKD funds projects that focus on data development; research and analysis; identification and sharing of best practices; and knowledge dissemination.

Under the renewed Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS), measures to strengthen the relevance of research funded by the HPS are being introduced to meet communities’ knowledge needs concerning homelessness. In addition, emphasis is being placed on ensuring that findings are widely disseminated so that communities are able to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
