On October 20, 2008, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada – Labour Program completed a motor vehicle operator survey for Greater Vancouver Regional District Census Division and the results are that city drivers are drivers who operate exclusively within a described zone.

Zone Served by City Drivers:

Furthest Point North from Home Terminal: West Vancouver
Furthest Point South from Home Terminal: Canada/U.S. Border
Furthest Point East from Home Terminal: Chilliwack
Furthest Point West from Home Terminal: Vancouver

This motor vehicle operator survey was conducted to establish the applicable standard hours of work and overtime pay for motor vehicle operators.
