Trustees and receivers play an important role in the implementation of the Wage Earner Protection Program Act.

Their duties to support the operation of the Program include:

  • identifying workers who are owed wages;
  • determining the amounts owed to workers;
  • informing workers of the existence of the Wage Earner Protection Program; and
  • providing Service Canada and applicants with information necessary to establish eligibility for payment.
