Specialized Pay Equity Mediation Services
Assisting employers and unions to collaborate on pay equity issues is important to achieving our goal of eliminating gender-based wage inequalities. In unionized establishments, professional third party neutrals employed by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service are available to assist employers and unions in discussing the implementation of pay equity upon their joint request.
Among the services available through the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, Mediation/Conciliation Officers may:
- facilitate the drafting of a memorandum of agreement between parties regarding the pay equity process; and
- assist parties who have already completed a pay equity plan to come to an agreement on its implementation.
