Minister Raitt promotes fire safety in the workplace

The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Canada's Minister of Labour, visited Underwriters Laboratories of Canada as part of Fire Prevention Week 2010, in order to raise awareness of health and safety issues in the workplace.

Haiti Fundraiser

The Honourable Minister Lisa Raitt participated in a Haiti Fundraiser event held on January 28th. The Labour Program employee's generosity and spirit of solidarity helped raised $1062.48 which will be sent to the Canadian Red Cross to help bring some relief to the people of Haiti.
