Human Resources Development Canada is pleased to announce the release of the Annual Report of the Canada Pension Plan for 2001-2002.
This report on the Canada Pension Plan consolidates input from all departments providing services on behalf of the Plan, including:
- Human Resources Development Canada,
- Department of Finance,
- Canada Customs and Revenue Agency,
- Public Works and Government Services Canada, and
- Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.
It contains a brief description of the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and the benefits it provides, namely retirement, disability and survivor benefits. Also included are the various departmental reports and an update on the initiatives undertaken to improve service delivery.
The CPP Account and the CPP Investment Fund provides detailed financial statements as of March 31, 2002.
