Temporary Foreign Worker Program

Notice to Employers:
Release of the National Occupational Classification

On January 31, 2012, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and Statistics Canada announced the release of the 2011 edition of the National Occupational Classification (NOC). The updated NOC version is now available on the HRSDC’s NOC Web site.

However, employers applying for a labour market opinion (LMO) under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program must use the occupational codes from the NOC 2006 version.
