The skilled trades offer in-demand, recognized and well-paid careers. In many skilled trades, apprenticeship training is an essential step to becoming a certified tradesperson. The Government of Canada is working with its partners to increase apprenticeship opportunities for Canadians in the Red Seal trades and to promote a highly skilled and mobile workforce in Canada.
Eligible apprentices can get up to $4,000 in federal apprenticeship grants:

Service Canada must receive your application by June 30 of the year after you complete your apprenticeship and receive your journeyperson certification.
